Outline:  In the lead-up to the Australia 2020 Summit we invite a panel of Australian experts to propose their ideas for a better Australia. Dear Mr Rudd is a collection of 20 essays from a range of academics, activists and expert commentators on specific areas of government activity, designed to provide ideas for the Rudd Government. Join the editor of Dear Mr Rudd, Robert Manne, as he officially presents Prof. Glyn Davis with this important collection of proposals.

Robert Manne is one Australia's leading public intellectuals and professor of politics at La Trobe University. Joining Robert on this panel is Mark McKenna, a senior research fellow in Australian history at the University of Sydney whose Looking for Blackfella's Point: An Australian History of Place won the Book of the Year in the 2003 NSW Premier's Literary Awards and Juliana Engberg who is the artistic director of the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art and adjunct professor in design and art at RMIT University.

Professor Glyn Davis is the vice-chancellor of the University of Melbourne and the Chairman of the Australia 2020 summit.
