Outline:  Australia's growing economic and business partnership with China often overshadows the long-running cultural relationship between the two countries. This event brings together Li Cunxin, Alex Miller and John Young, to discuss their relationship with China, as expressed through their writing, artwork, experiences and impressions.

Li Cunxin is the Chinese-born author of the best-selling book "Mao's Last Dancer". Alex Miller is an award-winning author, whose books include "The Ancestor Game" and "Journey into the Stone Country". John Young, a leading visual artist, was born in Hong Kong and is now based in Australia.

This event is presented by Asialink and Readings Books & Music Carlton
